Face

11th Grade. Graphic Design/Studio Art class.

This was done for my research workbook for art class my Junior year of High School.  Ended up being pulled from it, when a friend expressed interest in owning the piece of art.  Before being able to give him the piece, however, said friend moved away.  So now I am left with this art piece…

The words around the face read:

“I cannot seem to concentrate on the tasks at hand.  I cannot see joy any longer in my fellow man.  I cannot seems to stop the tremoring of my hands.  I cannot look at my face without being repulsed by sin.  When and where did all these feelings begin?”

The Child

Sophmore Year College. Drawing 101.

Sophmore year of college, after I figured out I did not want to be a theatre major anymore, I decided to take a couple of art classes.  One such class was Drawing 101.  This is from my final series.  I did drawings of a family, expressing how fucked up people are.  This is the Child.  In the background there is a story written describing the disturbing life of this sad child.

Bicycle.

12th Grade. Studio Art Class.

This drawing of a Bicycle was made sometime during my Senior Year of High School in art class.  The problem with track the exact class and when I made it fall into the matter of my 12th grade schedule.  My school had block scheduling… A days and B days.  My B days, were my awesome day… B1- Graphic Arts and Design 3, B2- Studio Art 2, B3- Independent Study in Painting, during the Basic Drawing class… so this was made some B-Day as I took up an entire table in the artroom and did one piece of art right after the other…

This picture always reminds me of the flashback dream sequence in Jacob’s Ladder with Macaulay Culkin on the bike.

Multiplication Table

10th Grade. Studio Art Class.

We had to draw 8 images.  Put one in each box along the top and left side of the page… then for the subsequent boxes, mix whichever Image was to the left and top of it… so we mix the images… kinda cool assignment.

10th Grade: Studio Art Class

I find it hard to believe that this was seven years ago now… and how different everything was, not just for me personally (being 15 then), but also for the world.  If you do the math, you’ll realize that was the fall of 2001… this assignment was the first one of the year, meaning… it was assigned late august and due early september… none of that really has anything to do with the picture, I just kind of find it unbelievable how much the world has changed between when I created this and now.
